Application for OPIM 5500 – Field Study Internship Approval | MS in Business Analytics and Project Management

OPIM 5500 will fulfill 3 of the 9 credits of required electives for the program.

If it is a second round of CPT, enrolling in and paying for OPIM 5500 is required for a second time, however, the 3-credits will not count towards the 36/37 –credit degree requirement
Student must meet all course requirements defined by instructor for OPIM 5500 to receive credit

Registration into the course will be completed by the program following review and approval of all required information.

OPIM 5500 does not fulfill any of your 37 credits required for the MSBAPM degree.

Students can enroll in OPIM 5500 in addition to their 37 required credits.

Student must be enrolled full-time for a complete academic year (Fall and Spring semesters)
Student must meet with their career counselor or attend an internship focused workshop prior to submitting their offer letter
- Also, strongly recommended to attend a CPT workshop hosted by ISSS prior to submitting offer letter.
Student must receive an official Internship Offer letter from the company, which includes:
- Internship position title (i.e. Analytics Intern, Project Management Intern, etc.)
- Name of company and address of internship site;
- Description of internship with project and/or intern responsibilities;
- Name of supervisor with title and contact info (phone and email);
- Internship start and end dates;
- Required hours per week;
  - Part-time Internship: 20 hours or less. 12 weeks minimum.
  - Full-time Internship: over 20 hours. 9 weeks minimum.
- Compensation for internship (hourly rate/salary, bonus, relocation, etc.)
The MSBAPM/MSFinTech program office will review the Internship Offer and CPT paperwork. If approved, the program will register the student for OPIM 5500 and will email student with confirmation of approval/enrollment. Student will then submit an online application via the ISSS Portal for CPT approval.
