Board of Advisers

The MSBAPM Corporate Advisory Board is comprised of the following senior executives from leading world-class corporations. The purpose of the advisory board is to support the mission of the MSBAPM program by providing feedback on the curriculum, mentoring students, and building a bridge between the program and the business community.



 PTB-300x300 Peter T Bothwell, Vice President of Data Analytics, The Hartford   Pete has over 30 years of P&C industry experience with both domestic and international carriers in a wide variety of both actuarial and non-actuarial roles.Pete received a B.A. in Mathematics/Economics from Colby College in 1978 and attained his Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society in 1984.  He has served on numerous CAS and industry committees and panels and is currently a member of the CAS Committee on Data and Information.


 LaurenCreutz Lauren Esposito Creutz, Head of Talent Development, AetnaLauren Esposito Creutz is the Head of Talent Development at Aetna.  In this role, Lauren works closely with the Business Advisory Consulting team and Shared Services to drive the transformation of Talent Development across the organization. Lauren has oversight of performance management, succession planning, enterprise learning, leadership development and Organization and Talent Review.Prior to joining Aetna in June 2010, Lauren worked across both business and HR roles with ING Financial Services, most recently as a Six Sigma Black Belt.Lauren received her MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut and her Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University. She currently serves as a board member on the University of Connecticut School of Business Alumni Association. Lauren is also a member of the Tufts University Alumni Admissions Program.


 davis Nancy M. Davis, Vice President and Chief Information Officer, United Technologies CorporationNancy M. Davis was elected Vice President and Chief Information Officer in January 2010. She is responsible for providing leadership to UTC’s information technology function, including global IT strategies, systems, infrastructure and supplier management.She previously served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Pratt & Whitney from 2003–2009 and Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Sikorsky from 2002-2003. Davis joined UTC’s Pratt & Whitney division in 1979 and held various positions in IT, including Director of Engineering and Manufacturing Systems, Infrastructure, Architecture & Security Operations and global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. She led the initial outsourcing of Information Technology operations at Pratt & Whitney in 1999, which is now in place globally across UTC.Nancy received a Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College and holds a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.



 Konstantinos-Spetsaris-300x275 Konstantinos Spetsaris, Senior Partner of Client Solutions & Analytics, (m)PHASIZEKonstantinos is Senior Partner of Client Solutions & Analytics at (m)PHASIZE. Prior to that, he is Senior Vice President of Analytics at Nielsen. At Nielsen’s Analytics division, Konstantinos led a global team focused on a fast moving consumer goods manufacturer providing insights around optimal resource allocation of marketing investment and driving pricing and promotion strategies. Konstantinos started his marketing analytics career at Marketing Management Analytics where he spent roughly 5 years providing marketing insights generated through Marketing Mix Modeling. MMM is an econometrics-based technique which quantifies the impact of marketing, pricing, competition and other external and environmental factors on product demand.Konstantinos graduated in 1997 with a Masters in Political Science from UCONN with a focus on International Political Economy and Research Methodology. His undergrad studies, also at UCONN, began with Engineering and ended in the space of Social Sciences, specifically International Relations.


carlosPassi Carlos Passi, Assistant Controller, Business Transformation, IBM FinanceCarlos Passi is the Assistant Controller, Finance Business Transformation at IBM’s corporate headquarters in Armonk, NY reporting to the Corporate Controller. He is responsible for the design and implementation of IBM’s Financial Processes and Systems Strategy, supporting process integration and productivity for the worldwide Finance organization.Carlos is also the CFO for the Corporate Innovation and Technology function which includes Research and Technology and Intellectual Property.Formerly, Carlos was Director of Financial Planning for Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in Paris, France, and previously held various other leadership positions in IBM Finance. He joined IBM in 1984 as a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Boulder, Colorado.

Carlos holds an MBA and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, as well as a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Chile.


Sharad Patney Sharad Patney, Chief Executive Officer, VLink Inc.Sharad Patney is the Chief Executive officer of VLink, Inc. In this role, Sharad is responsible for constructing corporate vision and leadership strategy. He is the driving force in accelerating market growth, by building long-range strategic plans, and formulating financial and operational goals. He is actively involved in developing strategies for Sales, Marketing, and day to day operations of the company. Sharad has been a key influence in spurting sales figures and increased client satisfaction across all industry verticals of VLink.Prior to joining VLink, Inc. Sharad managed the development and implementation of enterprise wide Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions with various clients like UHG, ATC & Merck. He worked directly with Business and Support Unit Executives to identify new data and reporting requirements and develop BI/Analytic solutions to evaluate business as well as business ventures. In addition, earlier in his career Sharad worked as an analyst in IT and Sales at NIC and Nashsoft, India. In addition, he also serves as the Board Member for two other companies, Excelto Solutions and Wink and Pout.

Sharad received his MS in Business Analytics & Project Management from University of Connecticut and his Bachelor’s of Engineering in Power Electronics from University of Nagpur, India.
